With go-karting seen by many as the main route into a career in motorsport, it would perhaps make sense to have a karting simulator game to polish those skills away from the track. Handily, that’s what KartKraft majors in.
The ultra-precise and realistic PC sim recently added triple screen support and had a complete physics overhaul. The game features karts that can do 0-60mph in just 3.2 seconds and the ability to build your kart from the ground up with over 1000+ parts. It’s currently in Steam Early Access.
But, as you will see in my first attempt at the game, the main takeaway is not the stats or the options, but the incredibly life-like visuals and handling. It really does feel like go-karting with your mates on a pre-pandemic Thursday evening down the local track. But a lot more serious.
