It turns out that the not very imaginatively named ‘Endurance Bundle 2’ for PC racing simulator rFactor 2 is a lot more interesting than it sounds.
It includes three exciting cars, ideal for – yes, you’ve guessed it – endurance racing. They are the Cadillac DPi-V.R, Ligier JS P217 LMP2 and Corvette C8.R GTE. Two prototype style cars and one GTE-class vehicle, which is based on the first-ever mid-engine production Corvette.
This follows on from the original Endurance Bundle, which featured the McLaren Senna GTR, Oreca 07 LMP2, Norma M30 LMP3, Aston Martin Vantage GTE, BMW M8 GTE, Corvette C7.R and Porsche 911 RSR, but was significantly more expensive. Bundle 2 compliments the first pack like ketchup working well with chips.
What better place to try out Studio 397’s new creations, then, than Florida’s Sebring circuit – home of a renowned 12-hour race?
Watch as we put all three to the test in a variety of race and test tack scenarios and deliver our final verdict on each vehicle. We also tried the LMP2 out around Imola, for a dash of European flavour.
The Endurance Bundle 2 is available on PC via Steam and costs $10.86/£7.89. Alternatively, you can buy each car for $6.03/£4.37 each. Sebring International Raceway is $10.87/£7.88 and available as a separate purchase.
Which is your favourite of these three new cars? Have you picked up the latest DLC? We’ll meet you in the comments to discuss.
