Porsche won the third round of the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series Manufacturers Cup thanks to an inspired drive by Angel Inostroza. It means the German brand is now back firmly in contention for the title with one round to go.
The victory came from third on the grid, after AMG’s Noah Lanuza claimed pole position, a comfortable 0.2s ahead of Ferrari’s Donovan Parker.
In a 30-lap Gran Turismo 7 race, where drivers were required to use both medium and soft compound tyres at least once, the 458 led the opening stint after slipstreaming by Lanuza on the second lap.
However, the race would unravel for Parker, as significantly worse rear tyre wear on the mid-engine supercar compared to his immediate rivals required an early pitstop. This was followed by a second visit to pitlane later on, when the leading drivers managed to pull off a single-stop strategy.
With the Prancing Horse out of contention, Adriano Carrazza’s Toyota now led the pack, having bested Inostroza at Turn 1 on Lap 3 and then Lanuza on Lap 15.

However, the AMG and Porsche were still in the Supra’s tow, coming to a head into Turn 10A. All three made contact, the net resulting being the Mercedes being thrown off into the gravel trap, eliminating it from a chance of victory.
Inostroza would capitalise on a loss of momentum for Carrazza, diving down the inside of Turn 1 to take a lead the Chilean would hold until the end.
The Toyota driver would be right being the 911 for lap after lap, but made a crucial mistake two laps from home, oversteering out of Turn 7.

Elsewhere, points-leader Subaru endured a torrid race, with two-time champion Daniel Solis spinning into the wall at Turn 5. Mazda’s Samuel Cardinal would finish third, helping the Japanese marque into second in the overall standings.
The final, and deciding round, will take place between 20th-21st December 2025 in Fukuoka, Japan. Pol Urra won the latest Nations Cup round for Spain.
